Woops, don't mean to use this as a personal journal, guys, but I'm getting my butt kicked by upcoming midterms. I'm looking at you in particular, calculus. >:c Regular shenanigans will resume again after my last exam on the 8th, but until than I've got to distance myself from my usual haunts. I get distracted far too easily.

As I'm getting back into the swing of things and generally be more active (not just here), I'm trying to bulk up my contact list again. So, if you have a tumblr, blog, or whatever, let me know, and I'll follow you! The same can be said for instant messenger. I have Trillian and a Skype (rarely used for voice calls though) now so I can actually keep in contact with people. If you feel like talking, just let me know and I'll send you my contact info. Yep.

EDIT: Looking back at my gallery, it displeases me. It is full of yucky, old art. I'm commencing Operation: Gallery Cleanup now. Not everything will be deleted, but a significant portion will. It'll mostly be the stuff that no one will miss, I promise. If there's anything you want for whatever reason, I suggest you save a copy now.

Well damn, it's been a really long time.

I don't know where to start. Maybe I should begin by saying I haven't abandoned this account, nor do I intend to in the future. And that I also owe the lot of you a big, fat apology. For anyone I may have worried, for friends I haven't spoken to in a long while, and to those whom I owe art and help.

I'm not going to go into too much detail. If you want the full story, just shoot me a note and I'll be more than glad to give you the full lowdown.

In short, what began as a hiatus turned into dropping off the virtual face of the Earth, and then some. Back in February, I had a very close family member diagnosed with brain cancer and ended up moving back home to help take care of her and my sisters. I have a new respect for those who have parents with Alzheimer's or dementia. Living with and watching someone slowly fade away mentally, until they're not all there, is kind of harrowing. Anyway, she ended up passing away, and I was caught in the grieving process for quite some time.

That, plus a falling out with my university and recently being diagnosed with my own set of health problems, made life...tumultuous. I'd never been at such a low point in my life. But it's gotten somewhat better. I'm settled in at a new school, with a new major and a new job, and a renewed spiritual life. It's approaching towards something like normalcy.

I don't like whining. I didn't want this post to sound mopey. I'm not trying to shift blame for my inactivity and neglect on anyone or anything. Just going through one of those rough periods life likes to throw us occasionally.

So, I guess you could say I'm back. Any art I owe people, I will finish. It's been delayed far too much, and I'm not letting it linger any more. My activity here will probably be a little more limited, and I'm gradually going to cut down on the number of groups I'm involved in. But I'm not gone entirely.
